Religious Freedom and Hypocrisy in Iran: An Activist’s Guide to Changing the World

October 24, 2017 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

A talk by Amir Soltani, an Iranian-American writer, journalist, and human rights activist who has worked in business, media, nonprofits, and philanthropy.

What is religious persecution? What forms does a modern inquisition take? Who enforces it and how? What is the role of language? What does it mean to be changed as a heretic, to spread corruption on earth, or to wage war against God? How do you resist? These are some of the questions Amir Soltani will consider through the prism of the struggle for religious freedom in Iran.
