    GSC Representatives

Students representatives to the Graduate Student Committee foster graduate student development in a number of ways.  In addition to attending monthly GSC meetings, our representatives lead a department-specific orientation for new students each year, as well as organizing mock job talks and conference presentations, roundtable discussions for teaching and professional development, and colloquia to promote collaborative intellectual conversations within the department.

"I'd like to continue to build a space where graduate students can collaborate on the various crafts of academia, from research and writing to teaching and fostering dialogue with colleagues.  It's an honor to work with such talented professors and graduate students, and I hope that the GSC can help us learn from each other."

"In my two brief years as a member of the Religious Studies Graduate Cohort, I have enjoyed becoming part of a community so clearly dedicated to cultivating both academic success and personal friendships. As your GSC representative, I would work hard to continue the stellar accomplishments of my predecessors, while integrating my own unique perspective for the advancement of graduate student interests."
